London – 14-June 2022 – Genesys®, a global cloud leader in customer experience orchestration, has announced the Genesys Cloud CX™ platform has achieved Cyber Essentials certification, under the newly revised standard issued in January 2022. The achievement of Cyber Essentials is a milestone for Genesys Cloud CX, as it attests that the platform’s security controls meet the requirements set forth by the UK government.

The Cyber Essentials scheme is a UK government-backed framework supported by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). It helps protect organisations, no matter the size, against a whole range of common cyberattacks on networks, computers, servers and other elements of IT infrastructure.

With the certification, Genesys can now provide the UK government departments with cloud contact centre solutions to help unify customer and agent experiences across phone, email, chat, text and social channels. The certification is indicative of the application and effectiveness of the security controls in place to protect Genesys customers’ data.

“We are delighted to be recognised by the IASEME and NCSC for our commitment to improving cybersecurity and protecting citizens’ data,” said EJ Cay, Vice President, UK and Ireland at Genesys. “The Cyber Essentials certification gives us the opportunity to be part of the government’s digital transformation journey and deliver true personalisation at scale.”

The Cyber Essentials certification announcement follows the recent news that Genesys has achieved certification and completed independent auditing with the German Federal Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue (C5) standard for Genesys Cloud CX. Achieving C5 certification further demonstrates the company’s commitment to protecting the data of its global customer base. The Cyber Essentials certification adds to the growing list of security standards for specific countries that Genesys addresses, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, C5, IRAP, FedRAMP and more.
